Myron Lysenko has been teaching contemporary haiku since the end of the twentieth century. Although there is a general perception that a haiku is a 17 syllable poem in a 5/7/5 structure, this is not the kind of haiku that is being written and published today by the world haiku community.
Myron will show examples of haiku and will teach you how to compose haiku and how to use specific techniques to achieve this.
Myron is the Victorian Regional Officer of The Australian Haiku Society.
