Melbourne Spoken Word invites you to a special MSWPF workshop as part of our series of MSWPF workshops at Siteworks. Poet wāni Le Frere hosts a workshop on decolonizing spoken word spaces.

The Art of Engagement unpacks the bumpy business of decolonizing socially engaged art practice in an Australian context as well as critically analyzing the ways in which we engage the diversity of communities both in our practice as well as organizing. This workshop looks to find ways in which we can learn to create, develop and unpack spaces in which cultural safety, awareness and engagement are the centre. Presented by wāni Le Frere, an emerging critical race theorist and artist, as well as a few special guests.

General Admission: $30

Golden Ticket: $100 (includes Opening Night, Closing Night Party, and two workshops)
