Melbourne Spoken Word invites you to a special MSWPF workshop as part of our Fresh Voices series supported by Yarra Libraries. Fresh Voices supports the new and emerging in our spoken word scene and this workshop is reserved just for those new or newish to spoken word.

Poet, dancer, and performance artist Arielle Cottingham will lead a workshop focused on writing for performance, with an emphasis on weaving performance aspects into the writing process and using the voice and body to further carry the words we write to an audience accustomed to the multiple stimuli of the present day.

Bookings essential. Will book out quickly, but please do not book if you’re not sure of attending. If you cannot make it after booking, please cancel your booking to allow someone else to attend.

Accessibility: Bargoonga Nganjin, North Fitzroy Library is a fully accessible venue. There is a lift to the Community Room on level 2 and the library has an accessible Changing Places toilet as well as hearing loops on request.
